The month of November has been very exciting for me so far. Early in the month I was voted the Gold Glove winner for the National League, this award means a lot to me because I do take a lot of pride in my defense. I want to help us win and even though I can’t always have success on offense, my defense does not have any reason to slump. If you concentrate the entire year, every pitch, you should be ready for anything hit your way. Also Jim Stone and I held our annual Golf Tournament and Gala Nov. 14th. It was held at Torrey Pines again this year. The money raised benefits the South Bay Family YMCA, which I love what they are about and how much of an impact they make on the community. The day was great we, couldn’t have asked for better weather. We also just got back from a trip Betsy and I made to Costa Rica. It ended up being one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. The landscaping of rainforest like green and the wild around you was awesome. There was monkeys and birds and iguanas and many other wild animals roaming around your room. Yesterday and today Betsy and I were part of the Mother Goose Parade, a parade that celebrates Thanksgiving. It is the biggest parade in San Diego. It was a lot of fun, I was fortunate to be the sports grand marshal. It was good meeting everybody involved and also everyone who participated. This has been my month so far, hope your has been good also, God Bless. Till next time. Have a great Thanksgiving everybody and remember to thank God and be thankful.

Hey everybody sorry I haven't written since the season ended. So far the off-season has been great. Very relaxing for us. We made a trip to Napa Valley with a group we met during the season that works for a group called Fosters and they own 8 wineries in the valley. The trip was great, we got to learn about wine and taste many different styles since we are very amateur when it comes to our knowledge and experience of appreciating wine. My friend and I played golf at a course called Eagle Vines and was a good place. Most of the holes were along vineyards and had a great scenery. The hotel we stayed at is called Meritage and was good. The restaurant and spa were amazing while the room and hotel location were ok. We have also been relaxing here in San Diego, doing our bible study on a book called "Sacred Marriage" by Gary Thomas. The book talks about living your marriage to be holy. Many people look at your spouse to make you happy, but the book shifts your way of thinking and makes you focus on God to make you happy and a good marriage will be given with that mindset because if you are having a good relationship with the Lord then you will be happy in marriage. Live your life for the Lord and you will see a great end result with everything else in life. I am also a big football fan and specially of two things, fantasy football and the Chargers. The Chargers are playing below expectations but I have faith that they will make a great second half push and make the playoffs. In fantasy I currently have 3 teams two with my brother Edgar and one with my friend Edgar. he two teams with my brother we are 4-4 and 2-6 and the other with my friend we are 6-2. It looks more likely that we will make the playoffs with two of the teams so hopefully they will turn out to be winners. Well that is all that's going on in my life at the moment. Till next time. One last note, I have someone helping me with the website so I might be starting to do questions and answers or maybe a monthly chat in the near future so if you have questions or comments or suggestions for my website please send them in, your input will help move the site to better serve you. The only thing I do ask is no personal appearance requests, those have to go through my agent John Boggs. Thanks and God Bless |
