The last month of the season is here... Thanks to all who helped with the foundation dinner to make it a success.
The last month of the season is here. It has been a very long and tough season. My first losing season as a full time player, and my first with the Padres. Things are looking better for the future however. Some of the players who have come up from the minors show that they can have good success at this level. That said, this last month is very important for both experience and for the momentum we can get going into next season. I have been very inconsistent at the plate, I feel that I have been trying to be more than I can be and I am trying too hard. So my goal for the last month is to try and relax and just have fun, then the game will come to us. On a personal level my wife and I are very happy with the way the launch for our foudation went. The dinner at Aqua Al 2 was a success. We raised $40,000 so it was great. I want to thank everyone involved with the event, and everyone who attended and participated and donated. The next step is to pass that money to the kids. I will let you know when that happens. Till next time. |
